Gail Apte, PT, ScD, OCS, FAAOMPT
Gail Apte, PT, ScD is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT). She specializes in orthopedic manual physical therapy, particularly of the spine and upper extremities and uro-gynecological physical therapy with a special interest in chronic pelvic pain.
Gail graduated from the Mayo School of Health Related Sciences, Minnesota in 1981. In 2006, Dr. Apte completed her Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy through Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC). She has been an assistant professor at TTUHSC until recently and maintains Adjunct Faculty status there.
Her research interest is within the topics of incontinence, low back and pelvic pain due to gynecological disorders and other spinal disorders. She has authored several peer-reviewed articles in related areas. She has lectured nationally and internationally in various topics in orthopedic manual therapy, women’s health and chronic pain. Gail has two grown children and lives with her husband and three rescued dogs and cats in Eugene. She enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling and playing the djembe drum.
